    • Skyvision Guinee SA runs SkyFibre, VSAT, VPN, cloud and hosting services connected via ACE submarine cable.
    • The company faces power, cost and redundancy issues but is innovating with fibre links and local caching.

Skyvision Guinee SA: Services and network growth

Skyvision Guinee SA is part of SkyVision Global Networks, a telecom provider with global and African presence. In Guinea, the company launched its SkyFibre service in Conakry in 2014. It offers mixed fibre and wireless infrastructure. This uses the ACE submarine cable linked to its IP/MPLS network to serve clients. The service delivers fast response times, more reliable connections and greater productivity for users.

Skyvision serves many business clients including banks, mining firms and large companies in Conakry. Its portfolio includes internet access, end‑to‑end VPNs, private networks, cloud services, network security, voice, business continuity and hosting. The local team offers 24/7 technical support through multilingual help centres and on‑site engineers across Guinea and West Africa.

Skyvision Guinee SA: Innovation and resilience in a challenging market

The West African telecom industry faces ongoing challenges. These include unreliable power, high costs and limited fibre redundancy. Many areas still rely on satellite links where fibre or terrestrial infrastructure is lacking. Skyvision builds resilience by offering fibre in Conakry and satellite backup via VSAT across remote regions. This mix allows continuity if fibre fails or is not available.

Innovation in the sector is driven by demand for better connectivity and cost control. Skyvision’s SkyFibre rollout in Conakry brought higher capacity and lower latency to business users. Its role in the GUILAB consortium connects its services to ACE submarine cable infrastructure and national broadband capacity. The firm also delivers value‑added services like cloud hosting and VPNs to differentiate from basic ISPs.
