    Domestic network and money services

CFC Western Union operates as the master agent of Western Union in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The company was founded in 2014. It has built a wide agent network with more than 150 active service points. These include urban and rural areas. It focuses on remittance, cash handling, and related services.

The company also manages FlashApp, a mobile wallet used by agents and customers. FlashApp supports local transfers, airtime purchases, bill payments, and merchant transactions. It provides digital payment access in areas with limited banking services.

CFC controls the Flash brand which includes Flash Cash, Flash Pay API, Flash Ticket, and Visa-branded Flash cards. Over 4,000 Flash agents use this wallet service. Each month, the system processes over one million financial transactions.

The platform includes remote onboarding and biometric KYC. Agents and users can complete identity checks without visiting branches. CFC offers tools for financial access in underserved communities. All activities meet regulatory requirements.

CFC’s model combines physical agents with digital services. Its tools support daily money use for individuals and small businesses. FlashApp is available in multiple languages including French and Lingala.

    International remittance and service integration

CFC connects local customers to global networks through Western Union. It began full integration of Western Union into FlashApp in 2020. Users can now send or receive money from over 200 countries.

The tool “Flash my WU” links FlashApp directly with Western Union systems. It gives agents access to international transfers using the Flash platform. This allows real-time operations through mobile or terminal devices. Agents provide cross-border remittances and cash services in remote areas. Recipients can collect funds in cash or load them into mobile wallets.

CFC supports identity verification, transaction tracking, and secure delivery. It helps users without bank accounts access money from abroad. The company’s services reach people with limited access to traditional finance. FlashApp provides digital services while maintaining physical support through agent locations. Agents receive training to manage cross-border flows.

The partnership increases coverage of remittance networks in the region. CFC plays a role in connecting digital wallets to international systems. Its platform supports compliance with both local and global financial standards.
