Google Cloud highlights AI’s real-world impact at London Summit

What happened:Google Cloud showcases AI’s real-world impact at London Summit

Google Cloud showcased its practical AI deployments at the London Summit, emphasizing how barebones concepts are transitioning into real-world tools. Maureen Costello of Google Cloud reported that over 7 million developers are using Vertex AI and AI Studio. A 40-fold increase in Gemini usage and that AI assists in Google Workspace more than 2 billion times monthly.

A practical applications included the Imperial War Museums’ project to transcribe oral histories using generative AI, Morrisons’ in-app product finder powered by Gemini, and Pearson’s AI tools for education—all presented at the summit.
