  • Liberty Networks adds two PoPs in Campeche and Chetumal and upgrades its Lima facility, increasing its regional footprint to 96 wholesale PoPs.
  • The move leverages the MANTA cable to reduce latency and enhance service quality for enterprises, carriers and public agencies.

What happened: Liberty Networks expands with new PoPs in Mexico

Liberty Networks has activated two new Points‑of‑Presence (PoPs) in Campeche and Chetumal, Mexico, and enhanced an existing facility in Lima, Peru. These PoPs are part of a broader regional expansion supported by the company’s MANTA subsea cable system, which links North, Central and South America with low-latency connectivity.

The upgrades will deliver high-speed IP transit, DDoS protection, MPLS and Ethernet services to local enterprises, carriers and government bodies. With this development, Liberty Networks now operates 96 wholesale PoPs across Latin America and the Caribbean.

Why it’s important

By deploying new PoPs in underserved regions of the Yucatán Peninsula and reinforcing its Lima node, Liberty Networks brings key network infrastructure closer to end users. This should reduce latency and improve performance for mission‑critical services. The move supports regional digital growth, but success will depend on maintaining the subsea-terrestrial link and meeting growing demand for reliable local connectivity.
