  • Leading provider of managed WAN, SD-WAN, IPVPN, cloud and security services with national reach and 24/7 support.
  • Recently won million contracts for data centre equipment, reinforcing its regional infrastructure credentials.

Excel Commerce Solutions: Origins and mission

Founded in 2005, Excel Commerce Solutions (also branded as ExcelComms) emerged with a core focus on IT outsourcing, quickly enhancing its reputation to become a foremost managed network services provider in Malaysia. The company’s philosophy emphasises “Excellence in solutions innovation and customer service“, a principle that has guided its evolution from a niche ICT actor to a full-fledged technology enabler.

Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur and a subsidiary of Divfex Berhad, ExcelComms offers a wide spectrum of services, including managed WAN, SD-WAN/SASE, IPVPN, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data-centre colocation, DIA, DDOS protection and high-speed broadband. As a licensed NSP and ASP, it maintains nationwide connectivity and round-the-clock operational support. The company’s vision is to be the preferred one-stop IT outsourcing partner, with a mission to enhance client performance through reliable, affordable, efficient and effective IT solutions.

Excel Commerce Solutions: Recent milestones

ExcelComms has recently secured major projects in the data centre space. In August 2024, it won a $11.02 million contract from Extreme Broadband Sdn Bhd to supply and install data centre equipment, expected to complete in February 2025. In February 2025, it clinched another $4.37 million letter of award from the same client, slated for completion by August 2025. These projects highlight growing demand for reliable infrastructure amid digital transformation initiatives across Malaysia.

Digital Infrastructure: Industry challenges & innovation

Malaysia’s ICT sector faces significant challenges: legacy network backbones inadequate for modern traffic demands; rising cybersecurity threats; and varying digital capabilities among enterprises and institutions. In response, businesses are investing in SD-WAN, SASE frameworks, cloud migration, and high-throughput data centre capabilities.

ExcelComms is at the forefront of these innovations, deploying end-to-end SD-WAN services that enable intelligent traffic routing across multiple WAN links, thus improving performance and resilience, while reducing costs. Their 24/7 Network Operations Centre with Information Security Management Systems ensures continuous monitoring and threat protection.
