    Salesforce has announced a definitive agreement to acquire cloud data management company Informatica for approximately $8 billion. The deal involves paying $25 per share in cash, representing a 30% premium over Informatica’s closing price prior to the announcement. This acquisition aims to enhance Salesforce’s Agentforce platform by integrating Informatica’s data integration, governance, and management tools, thereby supporting the development of autonomous AI agents.
