    • Internet Day 2025 focused on AI, LEO satellites, digital piracy, and the future of Argentina’s connectivity.
    • The event stressed collaboration and digital talent as key to building an inclusive tech economy.

Shaping Argentina’s digital economy through innovation and access

Held on May 15–16 at the CEC Conference Center, Internet Day 2025 was organised by the Argentine Chamber of Internet (CABASE). The event brought together leaders from government, industry, and academia. They focused on how improved connectivity can drive Argentina’s digital economy forward.

The agenda included keynote talks, expert panels, and technical sessions. Topics ranged from fixed wireless access (FWA) and low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites to shifting consumer digital behaviour. These discussions highlighted Argentina’s need for infrastructure growth and clear regulations to support digital development.

Technology, strategy, and collaboration drive sector-wide transformation

Artificial intelligence was a major theme throughout the event. Experts discussed its use in automating workflows and improving customer service. They shared use cases showing AI’s potential to streamline operations, provided it is deployed ethically and strategically.

Additionally, sessions explored blockchain and IoT integration. They demonstrated how these technologies can create real-world value when combined with secure connectivity. The event also addressed challenges in content industries, including piracy and monetisation on streaming platforms.

A dedicated track focused on digital talent, continuous learning, and upskilling. It stressed the importance of preparing the workforce for future demands. Moreover, innovative connectivity solutions like drones, HAPs, and high-altitude balloons were presented. These alternatives can help reach underserved areas.

With Internet Day 2025 now concluded, organisers and attendees reaffirmed the need for cross-sector collaboration and innovation. They also emphasised the importance of investment to build an inclusive and resilient digital ecosystem in Argentina.
