    • Mitsubishi Motors Thailand was established in 1987 and is a key subsidiary of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Japan.
    • Operating three advanced plants in Chonburi, MMTh exports over 90% of its production to 120+ countries.

A strategic hub in Southeast Asia

Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MMTh) plays a pivotal role in Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s global operations. Established in 1987, MMTh has grown to become the largest production and export base for Mitsubishi vehicles outside Japan. The company operates three manufacturing facilities and one engine plant in Laem Chabang Industrial Estate, Chonburi Province, employing over 7,000 people and boasting a cumulative production volume surpassing 7 million vehicles as of 2024.

Thailand’s geographic advantage, skilled workforce, and stable industrial infrastructure have enabled MMTh to export more than 90% of its production to over 120 countries. Its vehicle lineup includes the Triton pickup, Pajero Sport SUV, and eco-friendly compact models like the Mirage and Attrage. MMTh’s operations are not only focused on scale but also quality assurance—highlighted by its 2.1 million-square-metre proving ground in Si Racha, used for testing and evaluating vehicles across all stages of development.

    Innovation and environmental responsibility

Beyond manufacturing, MMTh is advancing Mitsubishi’s long-term sustainability strategy. It has made significant progress in reducing CO₂ emissions, achieving a 34% cut from business operations compared to 2018, and a 17% reduction in new vehicle emissions since 2010. These efforts align with Mitsubishi’s Environmental Plan Package, aiming for carbon neutrality and minimal environmental impact across its global supply chain.

In addition to environmental goals, MMTh is deeply engaged in community and educational initiatives across Thailand. Through local partnerships and internal CSR efforts, the company continues to promote road safety, technical education, and community development—demonstrating a broader commitment beyond commercial success.
