Certificate maintenance and revocation basis · Version 2.0 ties certificates to the resource's registration status and says removing the holding record from the RIPE Database automatically revokes the certificate. It removes version 1.0's explicit maintenance/renewal conditions based on membership or another contract, its express non-payment/contract-closure revocation wording, and its notification and grace-period provision. The revised text does not itself define the separate process for deregistering a holding.
