Aperture Networks has moved beyond a bare domain trace in one important respect: public routing and peering records show a real autonomous-system footprint. The harder question is whether that footprint represents a customer-facing service business, or a small research-oriented network whose economic value rests on continuity, counterparties and operational credibility rather than visible commercial sales.
