What happened: ESNOG 33 brings together Spanish and global network players

The 33rd Spanish Network Operators Group meeting (ESNOG 33) took place in Madrid over two days, bringing together leading figures from Spain’s internet infrastructure and networking sector. Hosted at a local university venue, the event combined technical sessions, community discussions, and limited commercial presentations.

Approximately 70% of the programme was conducted in Spanish, with the remainder in English. While this posed a minor language barrier for some attendees, it did not significantly affect networking or business discussions. Sponsorship was moderate, with three to four companies maintaining booths, and networking opportunities were reinforced through informal breaks and evening dinners.

Why it’s important

ESNOG 33 provided a critical platform to engage with the Spanish-speaking network community and raise brand visibility in a key European region. Despite minor obstacles, valuable business leads were generated, and promising new relationships were initiated. The event reaffirmed the importance of face-to-face engagement in regional internet forums.
