What happened
The 19th Internet Governance Forum (IGF) will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 15 to 19 December 2024. This year’s event features a hybrid format, allowing in-person and online participation. This year’s hybrid format aims to enhance accessibility and encourage global participation, supporting IGF’s mission of inclusive dialogue on internet governance and policy.
All participants must register through the United Nations Accreditation System. If you do not already have an account, create one and complete registration electronically before the event. Technical support is available for any registration issues.
Once approved, participant names and stakeholder affiliations may be listed publicly, but only with consent. The IGF Secretariat ensures that email addresses or other personal data will not be published. It follows standard UN data protection procedures but is not responsible for misuse of participation records.
On-site attendees must present a valid photo ID from a UN member state to collect their badges.
Media representatives must specify their affiliated press or media organisations during registration and agree to the Press/Media Guidelines.
