ASTAR is Singapore’s lead public sector research and development agency. It operates under the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Its mandate covers both physical sciences & engineering, and biomedical sciences. ASTAR’s research institutes are mainly located in Biopolis and Fusionopolis.
